“Every human being is profoundly affected by everything said to us, everything done to us, every advantage given, and every opportunity taken away. This is a universal truth, an uncomplicated acknowledgment. No one needs to take a side. It simply is. “
“To those of you making the effort to create meaningful connections, I offer this: listen with your heart and move at the speed of trust.”

Indigenous Impact Investor
Gloria’s Dreams Tree invests in developing and delivering programs centred around traditional language, arts and culture, traditional healing, student and corporate education and program support, acts of goodwill and gifts. We have the ultimate goal of developing the Centres of Excellence.
Unlike traditional programs, ours promotes economic reconciliation through a framework of mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration among communities, corporations, and philanthropic partners. In addition, our approach emphasizes long-term commitment and cooperation. We want to create sustainable and long-lasting partnerships and growth opportunities.
Together, we can build a future where Indigenous communities thrive economically, culturally, and socially. Together, we can pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
Gloria’s Story
Gloria always put others first, supporting every cause and person around her who needed help. Gloria ensured people felt seen, heard, and loved and achieved many great things, including First Nation advocacy. The story of her life reflects a life well-lived, but when you add the trauma of her early years, her journey becomes extraordinary—one that seemed almost impossible yet highlighted her resilience and strength of character.
Gloria was a survivor of the '60s Scoop. After being injured in an accident at her home in Meander River at just age four, she was airlifted to hospital and transferred to the University of Alberta Hospital for treatment. At the hospital, she was told she had been given away and was not wanted. She was taken by hospital staff, an Indian agent and a clergyman, sent to live with strangers and eventually illegally adopted.
She told us that she often dreamed of her big brother Mike coming to save her and held onto that dream for 30 years. After years of searching, Gloria finally found her way back to her family and community.

Build Meaningful Relationships
Gloria’s Dreams Tree is building something unique to balance Indigenous and Western business development. Unlike traditional investments, our impact investments will also build toward positive societal impacts over time. We seek investments from progressive leaders who see the value in lifting up communities, engaging in acts of reconciliation and celebrating Indigenous culture.
Achieving both financial performance and positive impact requires careful strategy, a combination of Indigenous ways and Western business approaches, and ongoing relationship and trust building. Learn More
